Tip # 11

The 'Imax' Approach
- Kelly Funk

Whenever I want to garner an emotional response from my commercial or scenic
images I try to use what I call the 'Imax Approach'; this is a technique that is used to
draw the viewer into the image and give it an added dimension that most always
gets a positive reaction. Basically, I use an extreme wide angle, while still keeping
proper perspectives, and use a separate foreground subject that is extremely close
to let the viewer be able to almost reach out and touch it. I love this over a flat
perspective for most applications. Give it a go; it's cheaper than Imax too!

Don't miss a thing, subscribe to the magazine today and get more of Kelly Funk's how-to advice delivered right to your door.
