Life in the
(not so) fast lane
Jerry Abramowicz’s double life yields great photos
By day he’s a resourceful and creative
location scout in the film
industry. He’s always on the hunt
for the next best commercial setting,
and snapping quick shots of his finds
is second nature — and a crucial part of
his job. His days are spent rushing about,
often through the congested streets of
downtown Toronto, adrenaline pumping.
But give him a day off and it’s a different
picture. His Jeep roof’s down, the tunes
are up and his GPS is off. It’s time to get
lost and find some pictures. Maybe he’ll do
some off-road meandering, or maybe hit
the highway in search of that perfect small
town. This time, he’s not hunting for any
specific destination. It’s all in the journey
and the sites he finds along the way.
That’s an ideal day for photographer
