Hi all, I have a Sony A300 and the tamron 17-50mm f2.8 lens and i tried the T.V. remote trick to try to see the light and i turns out that i can see it but when i put the kit lens on (18-70 f3.5-5.6) with the IR filter all pics come out black so i was wondering if the lens makes a difference as to weather it will work or not???
Thanks |

I have never indulged in IR photos as of yet but have read some info on it
There is likely a Flickr Group dedicated to this specialty which might be an excellent source to consider
first and foremost the shot will require an extended Exposure time and of course Tripod Mounting
works really well when recording Green Foliage
the problem with individual lenses seems to be IR Hot spots showing up at points in the frame
Might i suggest searching Flickr for some posted IR Photos
the Exif will give you suggestions for exposure times and what they shoot will give you ideas for subject material
Let us know how you make out
I'd be very interested
