We want you to capture and submit a photo that you feel best captures the very essence of the word JOY. However you interpret it, whatever the word means to you… capture it and tell us your story.

And the good folks at Nikon have generously donated some exciting prizes for this one. What’s up for grabs, you ask? Well, how does this sound:

Thursday, January 17 is the deadline for submissions. And, at that time, we will select the top 60 photos and will open up voting for the People’s Choice award, allowing you to vote (by “liking” your favourite) until Thursday, January 31, 2013. Winners will be announced Friday, Feb. 1, 2013.
